پالپ فیکشن یا داستان عامه پسند، فیلمی به کارگردانی کوئنتین تارانتینو و در گونه سینمای جنایی است. عمدهٔ شهرت فیلم به دلیل به نمایش درآوردن ترکیبی کنایه‌آمیز از خشونت و شوخ‌طبعی، داستان غیرخطی، اشاره‌های سینمایی، ارجاعات آن به فرهنگ عامه و دیالوگ‌های آن است. جان تراولتا، ساموئل ال. جکسون، اوما تورمن و بروس ویلیس از بازیگران این فیلم هستند. دو آدم کش به نام های «وینسنت» (تراولتا) و «جولز» (جکسن) از طرف «مارسلوس والاس» (رامس) مأموریت می یابند تا چمدانی را که دزیده شده، از سارقان پس بگیرند و در جریان این عملیات به طرز معجزه آسایی نجات پیدا می کنند. «وینسنت» مأمور می شود تا «میا» (تورمن)، همسر «والاس» را به گردش ببرد، اما «میا» بر اثر استفاده بیش از حد مواد، به حال اغما می افتد و «وینسنت» با تلاش فراوان او را نجات می دهد ...

      از بدشانسی های پالپ فیکشن این بود که تو اون سال با رقبای قدری مثل فارست گامپ و رهایی از شاوشنک روبرو شد و تو اسکار قافیه رو به فارست گامپ باخت و از عجایب اسکاره که جايزه رو به فیلمی داد که خیلی از اون دوتای دیگه سطحش پایین تره... خیلی خیلی قشنگ بود این فیلم،به هیچ وجه از دستش نده . موسیقی سکانس پایانی فیلمو هنوزم که هنوزه تو گوشیم دارم و گاهی وقتا گوشش میدم...

        طبق تجربم هر وقت خواستید بفهمید طرف فیلم باز حرفه ایه یا نه نظرش رو در مورد پالپ فیکشن یا فایت کلاب بپرسید فقط فیلم بازهای لول بالا میتونن عظمت این دو تا فیلم رو درک کنن

          بازم ممنون از نظرت ولی من نمیپذیرم. این خیلی آسونه که از یه نفر که فیلم رو دیده ( حتی اگه حرفه ایی نباشه ) بپرسی : نظرت رو در مورد shinning یا fight club یا pulp fiction بگو. این فیلما نکات مثبت و منفیشون برجستست و خیلی معمولیه که به عنوان مثال اندازه گیری حرفه ایی بودن یه فیلمباز ازش پرسید . اتفاقا به نظر من نظره یه فیلمباز رو باید در مورد به فیلم خیلی معمولی در ژانری که دوست نداره ( کلاسیک قدیمی یا درام عاطفی ) توی بازه امتیاز 5 تا نهایتا 7 پرسید . وگرنه فیلمای برتر دنیا رو که همه دیدن . حداقل تاپ 300 فیلم و سریال برتر رو اگه ندیدی یا ژانر های مورد علاقت رو دیدی و از بین اون 300 تا بر اساس علاقه و میلت بعضی هارو ندیدی ,اصلا فیلمباز نیستی و تو فقط یه هواداری . فیلم‌باز بودن: به معنای "دیدن فیلم‌های مشهور" نیست، به معنای درک زبان سینما هست: تویعه فیلم‌های امتیاز ۵ تا ۷ هست که نگاه یک منتقد واقعی مشخص می‌شود. یک فیلم‌باز حرفه‌ای می‌تونه نقاط قوت یک فیلم متوسط (مثلاً فیلمنامه خوب ولی کارگردانی ضعیف، یا بازی درخشان در یک اثر متوسط) رو تشخیص بده و درباره آن صحبت کند. اینطوری ارزش نقدش بیشتره و اونجا میشه عیار کار رو فهمید.

            موافقم که پالپ فیکشن و فایت کلاب فیلم‌های درجه‌یکی هستند. اما استفاده اونا به عنوان معیار حرفه ایی بودن فیام باز , مثل این است که از یک آشپز بپرسی 'نظرت در مورد نمک چیه؟'. همه می‌دانند نمک ضروری است. اما آشپز واقعی کسی است که بتواند با ادویه‌های گمنام و پیچیده یک طعم فوق‌العاده خلق کند.

                  یک کسی گفت یک سایت دارد مثل الماسی میدرخشد گفتم چه سایتی گفت سایت فیلم تو مدیا است گفتم تعجب ندارد چون مردمی است و مردم رو درک میکنه و شرایط اقتصادی مردم رو درک میکنه اشتراک زورکی‌ نمیگیره میدونه این پولا نارضایتی و اینا داره دمش گرم سایت عالی بی نقص هستید و بروز مثل همیشه

                      **Pulp Fiction 1994** یعنی سینمای مستقل در اوج خودش. **تارانتینو** اینجا یه فیلم ساخته که نه تنها داستان‌های مختلف رو به هم می‌زنه، بلکه سینما رو هم به هم می‌زنه. یه اثر با دیالوگ‌های فراموش‌نشدنی، شخصیت‌های فوق‌العاده و ساختار غیرخطی که باعث می‌شه هر لحظه تازه و غیرمنتظره باشه. **همه‌چیز توی این فیلم، غیرمنتظره و بی‌پرده است.** **تکنیکی؟** فیلمبرداری، قاب‌بندی و کارگردانی همه با دقت و بدون هیچ‌گونه تصنعی به خدمت داستان اومدن. **موسیقی؟** همه‌چیز با هم ترکیب می‌شه و همونطور که فیلم داستان‌های مختلف رو می‌سازه، موسیقی هم یه دنیای جداگانه رو می‌سازه که هم‌زمان با فیلم می‌رقصه. **بازی‌ها؟** هیچی از اون‌ها کم نیست. **جان تراولتا** و **ساموئل ال جکسون** هر دو شخصیت‌هایی می‌سازن که هیچ‌وقت فراموش نمی‌شن. **اوما تورمن** هم بازی‌اش یه‌جور خاص و متفاوت از هر چیزی که قبلاً دیدیم می‌کنه. در نهایت، **Pulp Fiction** یه فیلم نیست، یه **تحولی توی سینماست.** از ساختار گرفته تا دیالوگ‌ها و حتی موسیقی، همه‌چیز این فیلم **یک نمونه‌ی کلاسیک از هنر سینماست.**
