آزمایش، فیلمی درام مهیج به کارگردانی پل شورینگ (Paul Scheuring) است. آدریان برودی و فارست ویتاکر در نقش شرکت‌کنندگان در یک مطالعه روان‌شناسی ایفای نقش میکنند؛ جایی که ۲۶ مرد برای ایفای نقش زندانی یا نگهبان در یک شبیه‌سازی زندان انتخاب میشوند. اما شرایط به سرعت از کنترل خارج شده و خشونت، سوءاستفاده قدرت و فروپاشی روانی، تجربه‌ای کابوس‌وار را رقم میزند.
