Mary Magdalene

Sex & Nudity شدت: ندارد A woman tells Jesus a horrific story of how a woman, when she was caught with a man not her husband, was raped and killed.

Sex & Nudity شدت: ندارد In the movie's postscript, we're told that Pope Gregory declared that Mary was a prostitute--a misnomer that still lingers in popular imagination, even though the Vatican itself backed away from that declaration some decades ago.

Violence & Gore شدت: متوسط Remains of a crucified person shown (not closeup); burnt corpses are shown (not closeup) after a Roman massacre; a child is severely emaciated with hunger; crucifixion scenes are fairly bloody with emphasis on the nails through hands and feet.

Violence & Gore شدت: متوسط Goats are handled by knife-toting priests covered in blood.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking شدت: ندارد Alcohol was customarily drunk with meals in Judea, so presumably is in film, but there is no notice given to it, even in the "Last Supper" scene.

Frightening & Intense Scenes شدت: متوسط Mary's exorcism can be quite frightening for young viewers.
